I love working for good causes. The Informatics Diversity-Enhanced Workforce (iDEW) program at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI has been recognized nationally for its groundbreaking work in building a diverse IT workforce in Indianapolis high schools. The creative design challenge was having only a handful of quality, high-resolution professional images, two of which were used for the cover and back cover. For the inside panels, color and resolution problems with large images were solved by making them black and white and using a spot aqueous to give them dimension. To balance the black and white, I used pops of color from smaller images in grids and colorful infographics and sidebars.
